Billy being eaten by Huge wedgetail eagle.

Check out the size of this bird. Billy has been saying he wants to see a big eagle. I dont think he was planning on getting quite this close. We went to a birds of prey show at Atherton and at the end of the show he offered anyone the chance to try and feed the eagle. Billy ended up being breakie for the eagle.
Just about to make Billy his breakfast.
Eagle devouring Billy.
Eagle flying off after taking the food from Billy.

Atherton Tablelands etc

This is a huge Curtain Fig at Yungaburra. Prteey cool.
We are 3rd from the left. Bit hard to see but we are there. It is a camp at the Mareeba showgrounds. We fit in well with all the motorhomes.

Cape trib and Cooktown

Campsite at Mt Carbine, biot cool but great fire.
This is our camp when we decided to take the tent to Cooktown. All good except that Billy decided to get a Temp and the tent leaked when it rained, which apparently it hadnt rained for mths. You had to laugh or else you would cry...
This is Trevethan falls, very pretty. We are trying out the timer photography. So far so good.
we had dinner at this cafe, we loved the name and the food was pretty good too.
Note the croc on the shore behind us. This was a cruise with a guide named Billy of all names and there was only 6 of us and it was heaps of fun. We saw alot of wildlife and plenty of crocs.
wouldnt you trust a face like this.......

Cape trib and Daintree

Lions Den hotel on the Bloomfield track. We stopped and had a few here. Very interesting hotel.
Start of The Bloomfield track.

Dave feeding peacock at Wonga Beach

This thing was amazing, it actually ate our afternoon tea and it was a cannibal as we had chicken bickies.

Outer Reef on snorkelling trip

Had to get the underwater shot taken. Billy was an expert by the end of the day. You couldnt stop him. We all had a ball..
Check the size of this fish. His name is Wally and he was just like a puppydog coming up and nudging you while you swam around. You could cuddle him. It was amazing.
On the wharf at the end of the day.

Cairns night zoo

Being dickheads at the zoo
Mr Bean was at the nite Zoo in Cairns

Kuranda near Cairns

We went up to Kuranda in this train and back down in the Skyrail, had great day. The other kid isnt ours, he was a ringin following Bill everywhere.
Billy and his mate up in Kuranda

Brampston Beach

This little guy (named Marlin) was only 8yrs old and he could twirl fire sticks. This was a perfect shot. We had the party on the full moon and it was Michael Jacksons memorial night.
We had a beach party and Billy was with this chick. (Barry Burgess from OShores)
Our camp at Brampston with the crew from Ocean Shores.
Thats not a fish, this is a fish says Dave. 7 1/2 lb Cobia. Excellent eating. Caught him out 16km of Brampston beach.
Dave opening a coconut in our caravan park at Brampston Beach.

Josephine falls near Babinda and The Boulders

Dave and Billy go for a refreshing dip after we went for a long walk thru rainforest at The Boulders, just west of Babinda.
This is at Josephine falls

Johnstone River Crocodile farm

This guy was crazy... This croc was 15ft long and he was hitting it in the snout. We had some paultry chicken wire between the croc and us.
Deni playing with Skippy. We had a great day at this place.
Billy holding his first croc. He thought it was pretty cool.
These are soon to be handbags and shoes.

Parrenella Park Sth of Innisfail

This was Jose Parrenellas dream castle or what remains of it. We stayed overnight in the van park and went on a night tour of the placeas well which was beautiful.
This was a swinging bridge which Dave had lots of fun swinging even though the signs said NOT to.
Where Billy is sitting on the steps is how high the floodwater rose in 1946 and where Deni is sitting was the depth in 1967, 1994 and 1996.
This place was excellent. These falls are in the dry season, in cyclone Larry this was all water.

Mission Beach area

We went for a bushwalk trying to spot a Cassowary, nothing to be seen in the rainforest BUT when we left the walk we stopped on the roadside to make a ph call and a Cassowary walked across the main road in front of us, stopping traffic and all.
We had to take Billy to have a tooth pulled. This was sad Billy after they took the tooth.
